History of the company

INTRAC Eesti AS (formerly AS Thom Tehnika and AS Metsamasin) was established in 1994. with the aim of providing Timberjack forestry machines in Estonia. By now brands like Husqvarna, Massey Ferguson, Case, Bomag, Veekmas, Manitou, and others have been added. representation rights.

In order to better serve our customers, we have service points in Tallinn, Tartu, Pärnu, Saaremaa and Jõhvi.

INTRAC Eesti AS is part of the INTRAC group with its head office in Sweden. In addition, the INTRAC Group includes INTRAC Latvija SIA in Latvia and INTRAC Lietuva UAB in Lithuania.

During its operating period, INTRAC Eesti AS has achieved a leading position in the forestry and material handling machinery market with John Deere (Timberjack) and Manitou machines. Our goal is to be the leading heavy equipment company in Estonia. To achieve the leading position, INTRAC Eesti AS has long-term and good cooperation with leading machine builders around the world, trained service personnel and well-organized after-sales service. In Estonia, we are partnering with many leading companies in their field, mentioned in various headings.

The company has implemented a quality management system which is constantly being improved. Our quality policy is geared to meeting our customers' requirements and expectations, and all business operations must be guided by ongoing business relationships. Our international quality management system was recognized by the international certification company Det Norske Veritas to meet the requirements of ISO 9001 and on February 28, 2003 issued a quality management system certification for sales, service and repair of forestry, construction and material handling machines, gardening equipment, accessories and spare parts. Since September 2018, we have been the ISO 14001 environmental certification holder, demonstrating that we work in the best interests of our customers as well as our environmental requirements.

Owners of the company

Since the establishment of the company until 2002 INTRAC (previously Thomesto Machine Agencie ASB) Group was part of the Finnish trade concern Thomesto Oy. During 2002 the group management together with the Baltic Investment Fund undertook a management buy-out. The company has been active with heavy machine trade in the Baltics since the 1970'ies. In 1994 subsidiaries were founded in the Baltic countries as a way to improve service and support for the company's customers. In 1995 the parent company was established to develop and co-ordinate the marketing and sales of heavy machinery in the Baltics. INTRAC Group AB (www.intrac.se) has headquarters in Stockholm, and subsidiaries in all three Baltic countries. Owners of the INTRAC Group AB are the Baltic Investment Fund, Nalka Invest and the management of the INTRAC Group.
